Returns & Refund Policy
Electrical Supplies Australia is operated by Always Prompt Repairs Pty Ltd. This policy outlines your rights and our process for returns, refunds and warranty claims.
Change of Mind Returns
We accept returns for change of mind within 14 days of receiving your order, subject to the following conditions:
- Items must be unused, uninstalled and in original condition with all packaging intact.
- Any warranty-void packaging or seals must be undamaged.
- A 20% restocking fee applies to all change-of-mind returns. This will be deducted from your refund.
- The original shipping cost is not refunded.
- The cost of return shipping is paid by the buyer. Items must be posted or couriered to our warehouse — we do not accept drop-offs or pickups for returns.
Change of mind returns do not apply to:
- Products that have been used or installed.
- Products that have been made, sourced or customised specifically for your order (special order parts not normally stocked).
Faulty, Damaged or Incorrect Items
If you receive an item that is faulty, damaged in transit, or not what you ordered, please contact us within 14 days of receiving your order. We will arrange a replacement or full refund at our discretion.
To lodge a claim:
- Email [email protected] with your order number, name, delivery address and a description of the issue.
- Include photos of the faulty or damaged item and packaging.
- We will respond within 24–48 hours with instructions.
For faulty or incorrect items, the buyer pays return shipping upfront. Once we receive and confirm the fault, we will reimburse your return shipping costs in addition to providing a replacement or refund. No restocking fee applies to faulty or incorrect items.
Cancellations
You may cancel your order by emailing us before 11:00am AEST on the day of your order, as orders are packed and dispatched from 11:00am daily. Orders that have already been dispatched cannot be cancelled and must follow the returns process above.
How Refunds Are Processed
Refunds are processed to your original payment method (credit card via Stripe, or PayPal) once we have received and inspected the returned item. Please allow 5–10 business days for the refund to appear in your account after we have processed it.
Spare Part Warranty
All spare parts purchased from Electrical Supplies Australia come with a 12-month warranty for domestic use, unless otherwise specified on the product listing.
To make a warranty claim:
- Email [email protected] with your order number, name, address and a description of the fault.
- We will respond within 24–48 hours.
- The buyer is responsible for posting the part to our warehouse for testing by a qualified technician. If the warranty claim is upheld, return postage costs will be reimbursed.

Your Rights Under Australian Consumer Law
Our goods come with guarantees that cannot be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law. You are entitled to a replacement or refund for a major failure and for compensation for any other reasonably foreseeable loss or damage. You are also entitled to have the goods repaired or replaced if the goods fail to be of acceptable quality and the failure does not amount to a major failure.
Nothing in this policy limits or overrides your rights under the Australian Consumer Law.
